Karen Buford

I am a professional visual artist and educator. I live and work in Las Vegas, Nevada USA. My weapon of choice is acrylic paint. I also have a great love of books, especially pop-up books and cards. I was introduced to handmade books about 20 years ago when I took several workshops from the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. I learned about books, cards, manuscripts, and a little bookbinding. I taught my students about pop up cards and books. This has been the first opportunity I have had to learn more about making pop up books. I would love to incorporate some of my digital art photography of the casinos, artworks, landscapes and cityscapes into a pop up book. Excited to get started!
