I’m an emerging late starter to learning art. I’m avidly soaking up knowledge via tutorials online and books (I commenced my journey during lockdown so have never been able to attend a class in person). My particular interest is the human face in all its many forms but I love the diverse choices in art - both with materials and with subjects. I don’t have an overall plan and don’t have ambitions to sell or market my work but what I would really really love is to be capable of creating art that somebody else might look at and think it’s good. I’m not a very confident person and I’m trying to step outside my comfort zone by showing the pieces I do on Instagram which is the only social media I currently use. I feel I lack imagination artistically and I’m hoping to nurture this side of myself.
