Fernanda Pedroso

Originally from Brazil, I had made a significant life shift in 2020. Transitioning from a 20-year advertising career in Brazil, she moved to Canberra, Australia to live a love story and discovered my passion for photography at the age
of 40.
I've been creating conceptual images, often with studio lights, if it necessary she do not hesitate to use
special makeup, custom objects and scenarios to help her to address societal issues through my art.

My work has earned international recognition, including Overall Winner, Portrait Winner and Art Runner-up at ‘Australasia’s Top emerging Photographer 2024’, second prize in the Landscape category at ‘The Monochrome Awards 2021’, being shortlisted at the ‘Australian Photography Awards 2021’, achieved finalist status at ‘MonoAwards 2023’, 02 Silver With Mertit and 08 Silver at ‘AsiaPacific Awards 2024’, ‘Finalist at Canberra Contemporary Photographic Art Prize 2024’ and commendations in various competitions.

I've been using lens to challenge prejudices, showcase diversity, show the beauty of life and contribute to positive societal change.
