I am not new to gauche but I found her technique very similar to mine. I think there could have been more direct instruction on techniques or going through simple examples of layering by various basic still lives. The video could have included more presence of the actual photo reference for the audience to know how she is interpreting the photo. Overall, this course would make a great start for beginners, lacking for those who are more advanced.

I love Vicki’s art, so was excited to take this class. I recommend it to gouache learners! I got a lot out of it, especially seeing her underpainting technique.

I have purchased a lot of classes here in domestika about painting. Vicki's work is beautiful and i love the way she puts her brush strokes. Although ''still life painting'' is not my style, i hope that she will make another lesson about gouache landscape painting in the future!

This is an excellent course. The teacher's work is so beautiful and she is very good at describing her process and technique. I feel that I am able to give this method a try now.

I enjoyed this class as a newbie to gouache painting. Her color and style are clean, modern and cheerful. I watched the entire series first and now will start practicing her techniques. I can't wait to share my project.

I had been following Vicki's charming work on Instagram for quite some time when this course popped up in the feed. I am delighted to say that Vicki's pro tips, her playful palette and thorough approach with design and presentation are just the right next step on my path with gouache in adding to my painting skills. The course is broken into manageable segments which are easy to find, to watch again and also to take advantage of the extra notes and helps. Well done!

I was very inspired by Vickie's relatable story of returning to art in her late 30's. I appreciated her organized class structure and focus on the most important aspects of conveying a likeness of the image. Her underlay of a wet on wet technique was new to me and I'm very excited to try it. I binge watched all the classes and now I need to do the final project. This class is excellent for both beginners and intermediate gouache painters like me.

I felt right at home with Vickie as I use the same pallate as she does! She speaks slowly and succinctly so her demonstrations are very clear. She has an organized presentation which allows the student to clear their mind and focus on the process and the pointers.
