I came across Emma in an issue of Uppercase magazine and was enchanted by her simple everyday illustrations that were delivered with control and restraint. I am not much of an illustrator, but when I saw this course offered through Domestika, I took the plunge. The course is well designed for the novice. I picked up so many tips throughout each unit and came away with many things to practice and review over the coming months and the knowledge of a process to apply in my future illustrations.

The best course to start with. All the information is easy to understand and apply.

I bought one of her books before and it is such a treat that She has this course on Domestika now!

Utilizzo le gouache da un paio di mesi, sono una principiante. Il corso di Emma mi è piaciuto molto e mi ha dato diverse idee interessanti da prendere in considerazione, come per esempio l'integrazione con i pastelli. Mi sarebbe piaciuto qualche spunto in più nei materiali aggiuntivi, magari altri sketch da provare a riprodurre, mi piace tantissimo il suo stile e mi sarebbe piaciuto studiarlo in più contesti.

A lovely intro to using gouache paint and a fun project to practice. Emma's teaching style is clear and calm and helped me slow down my process.

This is a very good course, one of my favorite. Emma is a fine teacher. She provides a great introduction to gouache, and she has a beautiful style. She also provides many resources to accompany her course.
