Yes, I enjoyed the botanical sketchbook course very much. Lapin makes the course easy to follow and thus learning from him is fun.

I very much enjoyed taking the slow approach to painting. Instructor was very helpful in explaining this.
The subjects were fun to do - non so difficult as the Peony.... :-)

Lapin shows an interesting meditative approach to sketching flowers and leaves. I'll surely try it out.

Enjoyed this course quite a bit. While I had some minimal background in watercolor and drawing his techniques really helped me appreciate my subject and develop a more thorough and thoughtful understanding of the subject bringing more life to my work.

Lapin è un bravissimo insegnante. Per me che sono totalmente digiuna di disegno, c'è stata la possibilità di esplorare questo fantastico mondo e di aprirmi al medesimo. Quest' inverno, avendo realizzato per il mio lavoro un documentario su due scienziate di fine ottocento, una botanica, Eva Mameli e una limnologia, Rina Monti, e avendo visto i loro disegni, mi sono appassionata alla materia della botanica e del disegno naturalistico.
Lapin è stato una guida fantastica.

I like the notion of working with live plants, working to understand their structure, subtleties of color. But I found the organization of materials and techniques confusing, especially trying to coordinate five units, with the intro counting as one but not the final product, with the individual lessons. I also wasn’t sure why we started with pen and cacti, abandoned those for flowers, but then went back to drawing to drawing and the teacher. Better organization of materials would be a plus.

I haven't finished the course yet, but I am enjoying every minute of it 👍
