Botanik Eskiz Kitabı: Meditatif Bir Yaklaşım

I think it is a wonderful course. Unfortunately I struggled with it because of time constraints at the time, but I intend to finish it. I feel after his demonstrations on drawing and observation of plants, combined with practice on my part, I will end up much better at drawing. Thank you Lapin.

After taking Lapin’s botanical watercolour course, I find myself painting every day. He taught me some new skills that have greatly improved my work. His calm and methodical approach inspired me.

Overall is good, I had tried methods that I never use before, unsure of how to achieve “meditative” cos the structure of the plant is complicated and full blooming …. Make me and my eyes tired, however it crafted my other skill by observation for the real plant.

I`m enjoying the course very much. It would have been a great one to start during lockdown when time to paint was almost limitless ......... almost like therapy for the housebound. This is a course I have recommended to friends who have a particular interest in botanicals.

I am loving this course. I appreciate Lapin's relaxed approach, his calm voice and his appreciation for the diversity found in botanicals. I especially found the shades of green color mixing activity helpful. I have discovered a range of rich greens that you can't get straight from the tube and I look forward to using them in my future paintings.

I find it very helpful to see the artists inspiration and what excites them creatively, to determine if we share some sensibilities in our approach. Sometimes I search for an instructor who just ”gets me”. Other times I want to be shocked out of my complacency. I am opting for the former with Lapin.

I find this approach to illustration very contemplative and enjoyable. Unhurried, clearly laid out, and easy to follow.

This course was awesome a very relaxing course to take. He broke everything down and gave very positive and calming direction. I really enjoyed the breakdown of drawing and mixing the different shades of green.

The background 'music' soon degrades to disturbing percussive noises whenever the tutor stops taking and often he does not speak. His draw-along method is simple to follow if the lessons are less instructional and more demonstration. I don't see how it is a 'meditative approach' and as such it is a failure.

This course provides simple ideas to utilize shapes in drawing botanicals. The entire experience is simple and meditative at the same time.

I enjoyed this course made by Lapin. I learned much I can use as a beginner trying my hand at aquarel painting. I loved the quiet and peaceful way Lapin has of explaining and the bond he obviously has with the plants he draws.
