Cindy Rethmeier

I’m fascinated by and drawn to trees, clouds, birds, insects and the sea. I’ve collected many pieces of sea glass from walks by the sea and I always come home with leaves and branches with lichens from walks in forests. When I saw embroidery on leaves I knew I wanted to try that Domestika course. I love the thought of collecting leaves and embroidering them when I am on a road trip as a kind of memory book of where I’ve been and what I’ve seen. In general I’m happiest when I’m being creative and I really enjoy working with my hands.
