Carmen Orasanu

Hi! My name is Carmen Orasanu and I'm self-made jewelry designer form Romania. Back in 2011 I discovered via internet a technique that would influence all my life since then: creating jewelry out of paper. I found it extremely fascinating to be able to transform such a mundane material into a piece of body adornment that would transcend the classical notion of jewelry. It all started as a hobby but soon after became a lifestyle since there were so many designs I wanted to to try and so much creativity to explore. So, I started creating for the public as The Misique Moth which would go through a rebranding in 2017 becoming Chiramó. I'm so thrilled to be able to offer my clients both the satisfaction of wearing an unconventional and intriguing kind of jewelry and in the same time giving them the opportunity of making an environmentally conscious choice.
As a self-made designer and solopreneur had to learn a lot by myself and acquire information in a lot of adjacent fields like: product photography, recording of the artistic process, branding, packaging, social media management and marketing, finance and the list can go on. That's where Domestika came into scene offering real and comprehensive advice and help in areas that I was interested in at a specific time.
