Kate Henderson

I'm lucky enough to have lived in London near l the National portrait gallery where I would visit monthly, sometimes more. And the BP Awards were the highlight of the year. I'm now lucky enough to near Alan, and see his work in real life, as well as know some of his subjects! I'm seeing this as an opportunity to reignite my creativity for my own gratification, not just for work and commercial purposes. I was swayed from taking Fine Art as a degree, and opted for a more 'main stream' course which would more likely 'get me a job' and so graphic design was the path I followed. This meant my portraiture vehicle, which I so feared and loved in equal measure, was parked up and rarely moved. So now is the time. She's getting revved up.
