Ryo Méndez

Im an artist from New England/NY Tristate area. I went to school for Graphic Design/Photography at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport Connecticut for 4 years part-time. There I learned that I have a new love for painting, but I never really knew what to do with this new skill I love. I also love trying to make music, and play a few different instruments like the bass guitar, Native American Flute, the Mayohuacan drum, Electric guitar, sythesizer and even vocals. I also love being outside and connecting to nature. I love to go skateboarding, surfing, snorkeling, hiking and pretty much anything outdoors. I am also part of a Taino Native American Tribe.
I moved to Puerto Rico to try and find myself artistically and figure out what I want to dedicate myself to creatively. I have noticed that over the years Ive been a bit scattered creatively. I love to do it all! its great to feel this way, but I want to hone in on something that I can grow into and specialize in. I always wanted to mix media and draw in this kind of way. I want to try and draw daily this way in hopes it will teach me more creative discipline and fine tune my artistic eye. Maybe some day I can develop an animated story that includes all of my skills.
