Bob Hardie

I am a zoologist who originally taught in the Sciences before becoming a full-time filmmaker some 40 years ago. My broadcast programs were principally in wildlife, with the emphasis on animal behaviour, and music, concentrating on younger musicians playing in symphony orchestras. I retired from production about 5 years ago and took up art as a creative alternative. Watercolour and oil painting were new disciplines for me and, while some of my initial results more or less passed muster, my work tends to be too rigid and photographic. I have enrolled in this course, which looks excellent, to try to "loosen up" my general approach to working with pencils and brushes rather than cameras.
