Bert van Dijk

Studied and worked as a Social & Clinical Psychologist before following my passion as a performing artist (dancer, actor, singer and director). Worked across the fields of theatre, film and TV but mostly interested in creating performance in natural and urban (non-theatre) environments (derelict swimming pools, quarantine islands, national parks, churches, old factories and warehouses, etc.) using movement, space, sound, objects and poetic language to create multi-layered images and experiences. Since COVID I have focused my creative energies on exploring abstracted landscapes and figurative work with acrylic, oil, ink, charcoal and oil pastels.
