I’ve been working as a self employed artist/designer all my life in London and Derbyshire until 2017 when I had an injection for pain in my knee by my local hospital. Unfortunately I reacted to that injection and it meant I didn’t walk for 1.5 years without help and had to have a metal knee replacement. It also caused widespread arthritis throughout my body. I stopped my career and lost my home due to stopping work and have spent the last 5 ish years recovering and making a new life with arthritis in my fingers. I now work with soft mediums as much as I can to ease pain. I started ceramic work in the last year and I’m really enjoying all of it, I’ve made tiles and sculptures mainly
