A 15 minute biopic script that I'm very proud of :-)

A pen, a pad, Final draft and time!

The script started life as a short story about my journey as a young father.
I would dictate thoughts and memories to myself on my phone and reach out to family members and friends for their input on their memories of that time through Whatsapp voicenotes and transcribe those. Eventually, a story 'young father' was complete.

I then turned the short story into a script and whilst I was proud of it, did not know what do do with it next.

One day on a whim I shared it with a family friend, now mentor (Charles Liburd of NMNC). I did not know at the time that he was a script developer, amoungst other things.
I collaborated on developing the script with Charles over a period of a year or so and continue to 'shop' it around to production companies and think of ways to get it made. I feel it's an important story that deserves to bge told with the empathy that this script achieves.
