Young Storytellers "Big Show" Promotional Poster

A promotional poster for the end-of-semester live show performed for the volunteer program "Young Storytellers" that teaches screenwriting to fifth grade students

I volunteer teaching screenwriting to fifth graders with the "Young Storytellers" organization. At one Los Angeles school, Five teams (three people total on each team, two fifth grade writers and one adult mentor) each wrote a five-page screenplay. I read scripts-in-progress from each team, including my own, then brainstormed about how to include elements from each story in a single poster promoting the end-of-semester "Big Show" where all five scripts are performed live on stage in front of the rest of the school.

As inspiration, I took a screenshot of HBO Max's "The Penguin" that had a color scheme I liked. I used MaxPack Oil digital brushes in Procreate for iPad to paint the image, arranging figures from the five screenplays together to create geometric eye paths throughout the poster. Next, I placed the date, time, and location of the big show (location removed from this upload) and placed the fifth grade writers' names descending down the left and right edges of the poster (student names removed from this upload).
