My project for course: Children’s Illustration with Procreate: Paint Magical Scenes

I have never used a mood board before, it was helpful and I am glad to learn how to incorporate it into my final piece, thanks for the tip!
I went through several character sketches. I initially wanted to do a darker, much older audience scene. Yet, I truly love doing art for younger children. So, I scrapped the first piece and set my sights on a fun, sweet scene.
Ursula from the Disney version of the Little Mermaid has always been my favorite villain. I wanted to re-imagine her as sweet.
