Hey Team!
Here are some images of the vase I made in the final project. It's made from Polycell Quick set cement and water-based pigment.
I have literally made thousands of these pieces by hand, and they are always unique and have their own individual imperfections; these are the proof it is made by hand. Always remember that we are not robots, so we cannot make perfect things! You might find people first think your objects are made by 3D printing or CNC, so enjoy telling them YOU made it by hand.
If you cannot source 'Polycell' quick-set cement (Jesmonite AC100) remember to experiment with the one you buy, as they all have slightly different setting times, and then share it on the forum!
Remember, the process I teach you on this course, I believe, is unique to me. Unlike traditional processes where there are standard ways of making a form ie. ceramics, this combination of hand-made polypropylene moulds and water-based casting materials you may have not seen before. So this process will probably be new to you! Remember that when you do the Final Project, it may not come out exactly as you had imagined or hoped, but that is part of the process! Try not to get frustrated, just try again! If you can enjoy the process as much as (or even more!) the final objects, you will be a much happier maker.
I will outline some extra details regarding some of the tools and materials below and please remember that if you have a question, or are having a problem with your casting, I guarantee someone else will be in the exact same position. So, go to the forum to see if your fellow students have worked out the solution. I will be visiting the forum often to answer your questions. Please also share images on there as well, as I'm excited to see what you come up with!
See you on the forum!

Professor PlusOi!
