Trish Green

I’m a retired grade school teacher who lives at home with my husband Ted and two small but very noisy dogs.
I’ve always enjoyed art and crafts. Most of my drawing and art has been in my travel journals. I’ve travelled a fair bit bothersome in Australia and around the world. My drawings were just for me to highlight what I’ve seen and experienced. I mainly work in water colour pencil and fine liner’s I do love my intense ink pencils and blocks for larger pieces.
As space is always a problem when travelling, I work in an A5 wore spined travel journal so my pictures are small and have writing lines through them like my picture does.
This picture is very important for me as it is where I scattered my first husbands ashes. It takes up a whole A5 sheet!
Who has influenced me…. That’s a hard one… mainly my travelling as I always kept a diary. Then would be my teaching as o encourage the children to write and draw each day. Some of my artwork has words and sentences around the picture giving more information. This is how I use to encourage the children to begin their own writing.
What I hope to get from the course are some different ways to illustrate what I see. I love the idea of mapping… I can’t wait until that as it’s not somethings I thought of doing.
