Alethea is a fine artist based in Pensacola, Florida

Alethea has been creating art for as long as she can remember. While she primarily identifies as a traditional painter, she enjoys experimenting with looseness, texture, and color, making her artistic journey anything but conventional. She mainly paints with watercolors and oils but often explores various other mediums. Her current work focuses on creating with purpose, as she believes her gifts were handed down from the Master Artist and should reflect His glory.

Alethea understands that our lives can often seem mundane and monotonous; however, she believes beauty is hidden within the ordinary when we approach it with expectant eyes. As a representational artist who primarily works from life, Alethea finds her subjects and inspiration by carefully observing her surroundings. She seeks to slow down and truly see things for what they are. Each painting, whether a landscape or still life, represents an exploration of wonder and truth, capturing moments in time that reflect God's grace.

Alethea hopes her art will bring healing and redemptive beauty to those experiencing pain. With a desire to be the healing hands of God on earth, she aims to share her gifts with struggling individuals, helping them heal from their trauma and sorrow. She believes art has a therapeutic quality, which can foster calmness and help heal emotional wounds.

And sometimes, she simply enjoys the freedom of letting paint flow freely onto the canvas.
