Michael Boone

I painted in oils as a youth. I remember looking at paintings of the old masters and being very impressed and wanting to do the same. My mother indulged my inclinations and bought me a basic oil set. I had no training, but for my young age I didn't do so bad. I loved the medium and painted a lot as a youth. However, life got in the way, and I put the brushes aside and concentrated on other things. But during the pandemic, locked indoors, looking for a creative outlet I bought some acrylic paints and started again. I find I am most interested in portraiture and want to get better. I like acrylics but because of their super-fast drying time, I find them hard to work with when it comes to blending. Purchased an oil set looking to improve.
