Susan Golden

I am 66 and have been a nurse for 49 years ... ( eek!) I have always been creative and have felt very frustrated over the years that I have never pursued my true passion. I play and write music, I love photography, I sew, but I have always wanted to paint. I am not particularly good at drawing, but have been in love with the idea of impressionist art, and especially water color and alcohol works where the paint bleeds into the work... like silk painting. I recently watched a TV series where the intro showed a Mongolian scene being painted, with horses and warriors that bled into the paper in the most incredibly fascinating way. When I saw your advertisement for your course , with the beautiful black birds on the wall, it reminded me of that impressionable piece , and I was inspired to sign up! I am actually British, but live in Dallas, Texas. I can’t wait to be able to travel home to England again to see family and friends. My Father painted, ( and sadly died during the pandemic) , so I would love to pay him homage by learning to paint in my own way. Thank you for this exciting opportunity.
