I’m a documentary filmmaker based in Barcelona, Spain. I direct, produce and shoot film in various formats including branded content. But that wasn't my original plan...
After graduating in Visual Communication in Brussels, I moved to Québec, Canada to get my first experience as graphic designer. Back in Belgium, I joined the creative agency Base Design where during 14 years of a winding career I accidentally discovered filmmaking, abandoned graphic design, moved to Barcelona and even became shareholder and Head of Audiovisual for the offices of Brussels, Barcelona, Madrid and New York.
In 2012 I became freelance and travelled solo across South America on my bicycle, and started a freelance career that brought me from wildlife documentary in Namibia and Norway, to film bike messengers in Beirut, 100tons trucks in limestone quarries of Poland or sustainable farming in Tunisia. My short documentary ALTINHA, shot in Rio de Janeiro, premiered on NOWNESS and got selected in various international film festivals.
I joined Vice Media Group in 2018 as Producer / Director, involved in almost every aspect of the production of journalistically driven non-fiction stories for VICE video channels as-well as of branded contents.
Despite more than 10 years living in Spain, I still prefers Belgian beer.
