I discovered frame loom weaving over a decade ago, and my weavings are representative of my eternal struggle between order and chaos, with tidy backdrops of cotton cord punctuated by carefully crafted depth and texture. I design my pieces to appear as explosions of fiber bursting forth from the walls, oscillating from vibrant colorscapes to serene neutrals to nature inspired earth tones.

My style of modern weaving is heavily textural and utilizes natural, vintage or assemblage fibers sourced exclusively from independent women artisans and woman owned businesses worldwide. As a queer single mother of two incredible young daughters, supporting other women is a vital part of my own business.

Weaving is my work, it’s a hobby, it’s pleasurable, it’s therapeutic; it allows me to transmute my anxieties and sadness and triumphs and joys into something tangible and beautiful. Weaving has carried me through some of the most difficult seasons of my life, it has forged dear friendships and built my confidence, it has enabled me to marry my innermost thoughts with outward expression, it has brought me an audience of loving supporters and clients, a sense of purpose and belonging, an outlet for my grief, a focus for my inattentiveness. It has been the balm that has soothed many tears and busied my hands when my brain couldn’t quiet.
