My project for course: Artistic Portrait with Watercolors

Here is my final project.
For the most part, I enjoyed the process but found it to be quite lengthy and I eventually became impatient with finishing it off. This was because I felt I had messed things up by making the violet layer too dark. I also tried to blend a bit too much which didn't result in a painterly delicate look and I ended up painting over a lot of my reserved white areas.
I struggled quite a bit with the nose and philtrum area as I didn't have a well defined drawing in place. I think this may have been due to using an AI image which can have areas that are not very clear.
I will try this process again and next time I will make sure to choose a really good image. I will be more careful with my drawing and will plan ahead a little more so that I can be more confident in my colour placement and brushwork.
Overall I am fairly pleased with my second attempt at a watercolour portrait.
