Welcome Delivery - My project for course: Contemporary Brand Identity: Using Verbal and Visual Branding

Welcome Delivery is an e-commerce delivery service startup based in Accra Ghana. The goal of the brand project is to launch and position the brand as the preferred choice of delivery service for e-commerce shoppers. The company hopes to help shoppers to have a delightful delivery experience and to provide secondary support services to merchants that will help them move products.

In the early stages of exploring the name welcome, the tone of voice was clearly defined - We are all about embracing online shopping, spoiling yourself, indulging with your favourite brands or gifting (warm wishes, warm feelings) We are here to enable happy shopping and delighted customers.

I am a big fan and follower of Michael Johnson and all the work at Johnson Banks and you are my mentor from afar. I’ve bought and read most of your books including “Problem Solved”, “ Branding in five and half steps” and at the moment I am reading “Now try something weirder”. My ultimate pilgrimage will be to spend a day at your office as the silent fly on the wall observing and absorbing. But enough day dreaming.

Thank you so much for this awesome course with invaluable content and also at a price that makes it accessible to so many people. I've enjoyed it as it has brought the content from your books home but I have to say it has taken me almost a year to digest it this course and there is more to digest as I watch the videos over and over again. Little time compared to how many years of expertise you have brought to put this course together. After my mentor Nana K.Duah (https://www.nanakduah.com) introduced me to your work, I was hooked. I consumed all your videos I could find and bought and read all your books as well.

Years ago after taking a brand strategy and design course, I started a restaurant business called Gold Coast Kenkey and applied the branding priciples I had learnt to promote it with a campaign taglined “Enjoy Well Behaved Kenkey”. The campaign was a huge success on social media and we got a lot of attention along with re-posts and comments from celebrities that made it go viral. The restaurant is doing great and having built some expertise in food delivery, I am starting another company that will focus on e-commerce delivery. Say Hello to Welcome Delivery.
