My project in Costume Design for the Docufilm Die Mauer

I present you the project for one of the characters of the docufilm Die Mauer I worked for in 2019.
The film is composed of 3 stories and various testimonies of the Berlin wall rise and fall.
First is the story of Peter Fechter. Katrin was his girlfriend, so the period is the begin of '60.
This movies was product by crowdfunding so my budget for costume was just enough to buy 4 Stasi uniforms.
I'm used to work with low budget. So I usualy prepare a moodboard for each actor and I search with him in his personal wardrobe costume closer to the moodboard. I never choose only one option but at least three.
When I met Sofia I choose the outfit in picture, very different front my first idea but I found that it was perfect with her color, the location and the character that look like a ghost.
Initially the DoP was not very happy of my choice because the light settings is more difficult with white clothes, but the result was so good to be used as movie poster.
I agree with Bina when she said that in this work you have to find solution for unexpected events or requests. It's much stressful as funny!
