1ST UNIT OF ILLUSTRATION TECHNIQUES TO UNLOCK YOUR CREATIVITY

The first project of the "Illustration Techniques to Release Your Creativity Course" by Adolfo Serra asked to create an image inspired by items seen at a flee-market. Brightly coloured, elaborate china cups and the old, pre-loved teddies captured my imagination.

I created an image that I thought would be suitable for a children's story. The teacup and saucer were painted using watercolour. The teddy bears were drawn with coloured pencils. Then I played around with the images in Adobe Fireworks until I had a pleasing illustration.

After uploading it to the site I realised that I had misinterpreted the challenge. So the third image is as it should have been.
