Carlos Miranda

I’m a someone with a lot of interests and a lot of talent. I’m an independent filmmaker well versed in cinematography and screenwriting, also I have done some film scoring and sound re-recording soundtracks, thanks to the manly years under apprenticeship with my friend Academy Award recipient, the late Richard Portman. Primarily I’m a photographer, music composer and artist. I combines 3D rendered elements, with my own photography, other mixed media in digital painting compositions.
My art compositions are visually intense. I’m fascinated by baroque symbolism in one hand, and iconoclastic surreal imagery on the other.
The other aspect of my work is being a musician and composer. I primarily compose electronic progressive rock and classical music fusion with large orchestral arrangement and I have written two string quartets and few fusion Jazz compositions as soundtracks complement to my paintings.

Currently, I hold a tenure track assistant professor for graphic communications at the School of Journalism and Graphic Communication at Florida A&M University.
