Linden Wentzloff

I’m a largely self-taught artist who works in gouache, oil, ink, and acrylic. I graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada, with a BFA Spec. Hon., Theatre Production, and worked in costuming departments in many Canadian theatres before working in the post office and having my two kids. While the kids were small I had a sewing business, and later illustrated five Canadian best-selling children’s books: In the Path of Great Bear, Where Wolves Are Wild, Magic in the Mountains, Never Bug a Bear, and Flo and Eddy’s Water Adventure. Since then, I’ve painted many animal portraits on commission, and enjoy plain air painting around my home in the foothills of Alberta. Recently I challenged myself to paint one painting a day for 100 days - it took 108 days, but I did in the end create100 pieces of art. I want to challenge myself to a new art form in this course.
