My name is Jamie. I'm an American woman now living in Holland. For twelve years, I lived in NYC and worked making documentary films about family histories. Two years ago, I met the love of my life, a Dutchman with a heart of gold. After our love blossomed for five months, I packed up all my earthly belongings and moved to The Netherlands. A month after I arrived, I was pregnant! We now have a miracle, shaman baby with six teeth! When I was a kid myself, I painted. After moving to Holland, I took private painting lessons. It was one of the places in my new, strange world where I felt "at home." The transition to a new country, motherhood and SO.MUCH.MORE. has been heavy and joyful, both. I want to use painting to tell a story within me that's hard to explain in words.
