Ok, so... A little bit about me. I was born in April 1976 in Gijón, a little town in the north of Spain. When I was six months old I got Polio, a virus caused by the vaccination that left my legs pretty weak and my right hand affected too. So I difficulty walk with a crutch.
All this puts me straight in to the paper, instead of running around with the other kids, I started drawing, creating my own way out from the real world through the paper. I found my own free and unlimited world.
I started art classes very soon, and after many years of them my free world became a world full of rules that turned my happy free world into a prison of perfection. So... I got angry, I stopped drawing and never took a pencil in my hands in more than ten years, till the world of tattoo opened me again a way out from a world hard to understand to me.
For a couple of years a recovered the passion for drawing. Finally a had found my place in the world. But it didn´t last too much, after six years, my own studio runnig for 5 years, a bit of travelling (Ibiza, Barcelona, London) some goals achived, soe more classes and a nice series of serious disappointments, I gave up.
Then I move to Ibiza, place where i still reside, and I started collaborating in an investigation that ended up in the writing of the book "Manual grafico del pensamiento" ("Graphic manual of though"). An investigation about how thought works and how suffering cames straight throught It. On It I collaborated in the investigation and a had to find the simplest way to represent very complicated things throught very simple and undertandable drawings. We made it!
And now what?... again several years of brake. And then the idea of going back to the paper started to grow in my head, but in a different way, no rules, no expectations just letting things go out. I decided to start and It ended up in a collection of fourtysomething abstract paintings/drawings, a couple of expositions, some little sales and a new end. (hahaha) But, not so long after it, inspiration came back and I started drawing again, realistic style drawing this time, always my thing, what I was learnig for years, and the most feared and stressful thing to me too.
And now... here I am, trying to find a middle ground...So... Lets see where it leads this time?!
