John Sudbeck

Hi everyone, I’m John. Music and art have always been my playground. I make music under the name BlackxLeprosy, but I also love picking up my cello, guitar, bass, or piano when the mood calls. I am classically trained. On the gear side, I’ve got a soft spot for Akai, Korg, Roland, Native Instruments, and Teenage Engineering each one feels like a different voice to me.

When I’m not making sound, I sometimes work in black and white ink, playing with grayscale textures and contrast. I joined this course because finger drumming feels like a way to merge rhythm, improvisation, and performance in a raw, hands-on way. I’m excited to learn, share, and get better at translating ideas straight from my head into beats.
