Sulayman Jeng

I am Gambian resident in the United Kingdom. I was a Chief Superintendent of Police in the Gambia Police Force before relocating to UK in 2003. As a teenager in high school was deep into reading all kinds of literature. My favourite writers were Ngui wa Thiang'o, Woly Soyinka and Chenua Achebe. They inspired me into writing. I wrote short stories: Kankary Kunda and The Crash which were published in one of the local newspapers in the Gambia; The Standard newspaper. I also wrote a collection of poems which I hope to publish one day soon.
