The course is very methodical but also personal. Every step of making a painting according to the artist's view was well documented and illustrated. These steps are well-known, I think. The surprise is in the detail of the work and in the choice of some of his memorable models. Great job!

Nunca me había atrevido a realizar un retrato (y menos al óleo) y he quedado muy satisfecha con el curso. He aprendido un montón y espero mejorar poco a poco. Si nunca has ido a clases de pintura y careces de técnica, es un curso apropiado para aprender.

Interessante la tecnica utilizzata, anche se richiede una pazienza che personalmente non ho.
Ho apprezzato anche i consigli su come realizzare le fotografie del modello.

Sinceramente penso che lui ,personalmente, sia veramente molto bravo, ma che lasci molto a desiderare l'insegnamento. Io non credo d'avere imparato niente di più di quello che sapevo già. Questo perchè mentre spiega quello che sta facendo ti mostra già il lavoro finito non avendo modo di vedere come effettivamente viene svolto. E poi si aggiunge il fatto che dovendo seguire per forza i sottotitoli (tradotto da Google?...!!! ) se non parli inglese ti resta ben poco da guardare. !!

Pur avendo già eseguito ritratti su commissione, ad olio o ad acrilico, ero certa che avrei imparato cose interessanti, e così è stato. Coulson spiega molto bene i passaggi relativi alla sua tecnica; rivela accorgimenti e trucchi del mestiere, per ottenere il miglior risultato possibile. Un ottimo corso!

It addressed more than I expected.
Thorough & well done the way it was
presented. Although I work mostly in
Acrylics - this course filled in much of
what a portrait artist can benefit from.
