Laura’s teaching is clear, logical and inspiring. Offering an insight into her process is refreshing and has helped my self taught use of the art materials loosen up and come alive in a different way. Really helpful and uplifting seeing other people’s responses to the exercises and Laura’s encouraging comments along the way. Definitely recommend this course.

I just started this course but already feel completely connected to the instructor and the subject. We have very similar backgrounds and stories, except that I'm a writer and the instructor is an illustrator, and it's so totally inspiring. Can't wait to take out my materials and get painting!

I am experienced in watercolors and inks and I liked that this course was not another "learn how to paint nature the way I paint it and copy me" or "let me teach you basics in watercolors".The teacher shows her way of making art, the "behind the scenes", how she develops an idea, practical ideas on handling material, leting loose and finding your own voice. I very much liked Laura as a teacher and artist. She seems a very sweet, calm person who loves what she does. I wish her all success.

This course made me sooo happy. Laura inspired me to use art materials I haven't used in a long time and be playful. I started appreciating my art again instead of being so critical at myself. Thanks Laura !

I really enjoyed the course! I like how Laura patiently guided me on how to start and where to start. Her method on observing objects by the block of colors is really inspiring. I learned so much and I will practice more. Thank you for sharing the wonderful art with us.

This course has been amazing! Laura is such an inspiring teacher and doesn't just show one way of painting/drawing, but a whole range of possibilities. I love how this course made me feel more open to letting go, embracing mistakes, being more playful and discovering new possibilities. It has definitely been a great inspiration and a great way to reconnect with myself and my creativity, especially during a period when I felt like I was not so motivated. Definitely recommend it!

I am unable to know what instructions my teacher Laura Mc Kendra wants to give me. I am doing ink and watercolor paintings almost daily I do recommend it but I hardly know what I am meant to be doing

An inspiring course and Teacher, this course is great for starters and Artists alike.
Her easy style and honesty are amazing.
I feel so much more confident about going to draw , sketch and paint.
The mark-making made sense of which artists have problems with.
I shall definately be telling others of this course, and now to illuminate my project with her teachings. Thank you.

I think this one of the best Domestika courses. It helped me to open up my way of illustrating and have fun again. Laura's way of talking through her creative process is very inspiring, humble and honest. Listening to Laura has helped me to feel that I'm not alone with my fears and to confront them. Now I'm going out sketching and I feel free to experiment more and not overthink the end result. I absolutely loved it!!!! Thanks Laura
