Allison Barclay (Avielah)

First woman Hebrew Scribe - Orthodox-Certified Soferet STaM (female Jewish traditionally religious calligrapher) in modern times, trained in Jerusalem. Have been the subject of TV and film documentaries, newspaper and radio interviews and given numerous talks in Canada, Israel, the USA, Italy, and the UK. Professional fine artist and illustrator, academic with an MA in Art & Science, designer, accredited gemologist, writer, speaker, & radio personality, initiated as a Bat Qol within the Jewish Renewal Movement. University Lecturer, having taught at many venues on three continents. Currently splitting my time between Vancouver and London.
