Angela Rodger

Forging my identity as an artist. I grew up in Scotland and studied Printed Textile Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee.
I experienced a more tactile response to design during an exchange trip to Finland in the form of weaving, basket making and even puppet making. However my designs always ended up small with stamp size woven fabrics.
After graduating I lived in London where I met my husband. A South African lad, he took me back to his home in Pretoria, South Africa, where I lived for 12 years, experiencing its culture and vibrant sense of colour.
Now back in Scotland, I started beadwork because of a beaded decoration I found in my small collection of items I had brought over.
Beadwork I have discovered combines my interest and love of colour, pattern and all things small.
Having only worked on earrings, I would love to expand my knowledge and portfolio of beadwork and Marion's course is the perfect place to start..
