I am a Mexican chef living in Canada, Alberta.
I was a surgical nurse in México and my culinary journey began after I emigrated with my family, they were homesick, specially my husband. We had to begin from scratch and the process of adaptation was hard, new culture, new home , new everything, I felt I needed to do something. I remembered when I was a child, my mom used to cook on Sunday a delicious but on weekend the aroma of sopes will make me jump from bed, she was a nurse too so usually on the week days she cooked something very easy . I replicated this recipes on the weekend somehow from simple and every single time more complicate, I really noticed a big change in my family mood, they were very excited to see what I was going to cook on the next weekend. I discovered a skill and a new passion for cooking.

I fall in love with the fact food changed our life in many ways, our home now somehow did not feel like other country , it smell, taste and feel like Mexico. Years after I enrolled in the Culinary Management program and now I am promoter of the Culture through the Traditional Mexican food.
