Derek Macara

I’m a visual artist known for my finely calculated and realistic seascape paintings. My lifelong home is the art colony of Provincetown, Massachusetts where throughout my life I have been exposed to the work of many prolific artists along with the subject matter that has shaped my career. At a young age I studied at the Hawthorne School of art, this along with years of practice and being mostly self taught has allowed me to create a unique way of creating realistic seascapes and gained my work notoriety throughout the world.
