Wow! I’m blown away by this guy! I’m just getting 1/2 way thru the class but I’m already craving and thirsting for more from Dan! This instructor is like no other, he’s brilliant, concise, well educated, and he actually is an instructor!! Not all can teach… he is exactly what I have been searching for. Highly recommend this class, and hope for much much more.

Very very good course and Instructor BUT like most of the courses is not big and close camera , we did not see what they are drawing
Dan Thompson is a very fine artist who is able to break down the process of portraiture in detail. He does this without making the process mechanical. This is an excellent and not common skill for an art instructor. He takes the time to demonstrate each phase as he does his protrait.
De cursus dwingt mij om het tekenen van een portret op een heel andere manier te benaderen. Het oor niet als oor te zien maar puur als vlakken, vereist "omdenken" Maar hierdoor verbeter ik wel mij skills en doorbreek ik de manier waarop ik altijd heb getekend..
La información del curso ha sido bastante clara, ha sido divertido seguir los pasos del instructor e ir aprendiendo!
A brilliant, gifted artist and teacher. I feel so fortunate to learn from him. My only issue: the drawing he does is so light, I can barely see it. It is very frustrating. Hopefully, as the course progresses, the lines and marks made on the page are easier to see. I am only on the warming up video. I will review again as the course progresses.

Excellent course! My portrait actually looked like the model. The development of a plenar head really helped get a better likeness while working side by side with the drawing. The instruction was well designed and not overly complex. Now comes the really test …to apply it to a photo of my own
