I'm an amateur artist, excited by the possibilities of Epoxy Resin, but unlike most resin painters, I want to introduce an element of linearity into my work. I am interested in the architectural styles of Art Deco and Brutalism. Although Art Deco is a design style derived partially from Cubism, I want to return elements of Art Deco to a kind of neo-Cubist painting... in resin! I would like to make my art "about" something: I have so far mainly painted abstract art, because I have had a bit of a "block" about representational art, as I find it difficult to decide "what" to paint... hence my interest in this course.
