Raquel Sereno

Hi, I´m Raquel, born in Mexico City. I studied Design and Craft, and did a masters in Sustainable Design, both in Brighton University UK. For about 2 years worked for Oliver Heath, then moved back to Mexico and had my own brand for about 6 years or so @anudando (instagram). Suffered from severe depression and had a major life crisis, therefore closed down my firm and paused all work for about 2-3 years. In those years I started painting again, did some ceramics, little bits here and there, and went into "ecotherapy" - which got me into starting another project with 2 friends @ailara.biofilia (instagram). After a year, realized I wasn´t ready for another project, and left it to them. In february 2021 I moved from Mexico City to Queretaro (2.5hrs away) to work at a wood flour factory, a circular economy based project. I´m very chuffed with my current work but I do miss creating/making, and painting. That´s why I´ve decided to join some watercolor courses here in Domestika, hoping to improve my skills and getting me back into my creative mindset.
