This is the first time I have followed a certain political campaign story that would shape the next 6 years of the Philippine government. Nowadays, the country has been divided into political colors that aligns with specified political figures from those coming from political dynasties and from those coming from different backgrounds with no family connections which could undermine their so called political leadership this coming 2022 elections.
I happen to volunteer myself as a documentary photographer for the pink-green campaign of Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate Senator Kiko Pangilinan for the highest position in the Philippine Government, President and Vice President. This is also my first time to vote and first time to campaign a clean and honest political - democratic government.
As a citizen, I am one of those people who seek to have change, a fair and transparent one. This past 6 years under the current government, red-tagging can be heard elsewhere. Once you are red - tagged as enemy of the state such as New People’s Army(NPA , a rebel group) or Communist or Drug Addict/ Drug Dealer to name a few.
Once you are red - tagged you can imagine all horrible things that they (the government) can do you. Some are being ruthlessly killed without proper jurisdiction and some are illegally detained for months and even to years. The Philippines has also become a blood bath for the current administration 's promise of eleminating drugs in the first 6 months of his presidency, but that didn't really do any justice to those fallen victims.
Women in all walks of life also experience some social inequalities, such as "you are a woman, you cannot lead."
Now, with Vice President Leni Robredo's presidential campaign this 2022, not only women who find their voices but also those coming from less privilege social status. Her work ethics prove that in order for us and the nation to be great, we need to have a fair and transparent form democratic government. That change starts from within, with that it awakens the spirit of volunteerism. In regards to that, enough of the times that people are being paid just to attend and organize political rallies. This time all citizens are organizing political campaigns and charities in support of the presidential and vice presidential campaign of Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan. This people campaign only proves if you want to have some change, you must act.

Hello!
The work you are doing as a volunteer seems very interesting to me. I think that this type of political situation and inequality is very important to record photographically. Continue with your photographic project and in the course of the campaign you will complement it. Also share this work on your social networks so that the message reaches more people and you can receive feedback from people in your country.
Thanks for your project
@gladys_serrano thank you for taking time to review my project posts. It is a big deal to me that you appreciate my work. I will try my very best to capture the moment and stay true to the message which the image portrays.
Thank you!
