Lucy Werner

Lucy Werner is an author, hypewoman and recovering PR agency owner. She helps self-employed creatives get seen and get paid, without becoming influencers or making content their full-time job.

She has spent 20+ years in PR and written three books: Hype Yourself, Brand Yourself (with Hadrien Chatelet) and No-Nonsense PR. Her approach is practical: helping people who are brilliant at their work but hate promoting it find the words, stories and opportunities to put themselves out there.

Lucy writes The Hype, a newsletter full of ideas, pitching opportunities and useful things to borrow for your own business. No gatekeeping.

She has taught hundreds of entrepreneurs through workshops and programmes for The Futur, Bayes Business School, Courier and University of the Arts London, and was named Enterprise Nation’s PR Advisor of the Year in 2025.

She has written for national press and featured in Forbes, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, Stylist and more.

Originally from London, she now lives in Provence, where she is learning French and is co-founder of three children.
