Introducción al bordado japonés sashiko

I enjoyed this class and feel that I learned a great deal. I feel confident to create my own projects.

This course was great value for money. It included a great deal of information about the cultural background of sashiko that was really interesting as well as excellent videos showing how to carry out sashiko stitching. The tutor's experience and knowledge is excellent and his respect for both Japanese culture of sashiko and the individual's own practice allowing anyone taking this course to feel they can experiment with their own style and not be restricted to rigid rules of sashiko stitching.

I really think anyone interested in Sashiko, or who practices this art should take this course. It is authentic, practical and really helpful. The presentation style is a good mix of background, demonstrations and practice and leads you through the materials, preparation and into stitching in a logical way. To learn from someone who literally has Sashiko in his blood is a great opportunity.

I learned a tremendous amount about sashiko from taking this course. Mr. Futatsuya has a charming personality, and explained every aspect of the course very throughly. Thank you!

This course is well presented and taught with clarity and excellent examples and samples of stiching and finished work. The sections on geometric design techniques was especially helpful. It is an inspiring and thought provoking course in a variety of ways as the philosophies that underpin sashiko were well expressed.
