Sarah covers every stage thoroughly taking you through it step by step. She is clear and precise in her instructions and her demonstrations show exactly how watercolour works and behaves.She also gives good references to where to source royalty free images and how to manipulate them to make them ready to use. I really enjoyed the course and will refer back to it even after it has ended.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course which covers a range of tutorials to suit the beginner and the more experienced artist. The tips and tricks are also very helpful. Sarah Stokes is a very talented artist and a good teacher. Highly recommended for bird lovers.

I have never painted with watercolors since I was a small child, but I wanted to learn the basics before starting to dabble. This course was exactly what I wanted. I ordered some basic materials that Sarah suggested, and I feel like I gained an excellent, foundational understanding that will allow me to start playing with minimal frustration. This was my first course on Domestika, and I expect to be back for more.

The trailer for this course (on Facebook) included a penguin, which is exactly what I was looking for, so I was disappointed not to find a penguin in the content. There doesn't seem to be any way of seeing exactly what the course involved before paying for it. Other than that the course is pretty good but in the end not what I was looking for.

Recomiendo mucho este curso, me ayudó a ser más creativa pero manejando ciertas técnicas para encontrar tonalidades con la acuarela que antes no las había trabajado. Gracias Sarah! ha sido un curso en el que realmente me ha encantado pintar pájaros que eran los que más temor me daban dibujarlos y pintarlos.

Sarah is sensational and this is a fabulous course!
I highly recommend this class to anyone who want's to learn more about birds and how to artistically and accurately illustrate our feathered friends. I've learned all about water control and how water can also add spontaneous creativity to your creations. I really enjoyed Sarah Stokes class on "Watercolor Techniques for Illustrating Birds".

Wonderful instructions. I am keeping her notes in my Art Journal. I never learned this much in my WC college class. Thank you.

I highly recommend this course. I took it as a refresher, as I haven’t worked in watercolor for several years. Sarah explained things so well, giving one the feel of how much water to use to control different kind of strokes, as well visuals of how she layers color, and discussion of her personal palette. I have wanted to learn more about painting birds, and Sarah’s style of teaching proved fun!
