Learn to Program with Python: Your First Step into the World of Programming

Hello, aspiring programmer! It doesn't matter if you are an absolute beginner or if you already have some experience, this tutorial is designed for everyone who wants to get into the fascinating world of programming.

.

Your First Python Program: Step by Step

Step 1: Create a Python file
To get started, we need to create a Python file. This can be done in several ways, but Rodrigo shows you two of the easiest. Just follow these steps:

Right-click on the section where you want to create the file and select "New File".
Assign a name to your file. It is important to remember that all Python files must end with the extension ".py". For example, you can name your file "Hello.py". The editor will open automatically, and you are ready to start writing your first program.

Step 2: Write Your First Python Program
Rodrigo will guide you through the creation of your first Python program. This program will print a simple message to the console. Follow these steps:

Type the word "print".
After "print", you must use parentheses to indicate that you are using a function.
Inside the parentheses, place a message in quotation marks. For example, you can write: "Hello, Python".
Don't forget to close the parentheses.

Step 3: Save Your Program.
It is important to save your program to ensure that you do not lose your work. You can do this by clicking on "File" and then "Save". Use the keyboard shortcut if you prefer (e.g. Ctrl + S).

Step 4: Run Your Program.
Now, it's time to see your first Python program in action. You can do this in different ways, but the easiest way is to do it from your development environment. Look for a "Run" button or a keyboard shortcut. When you run it, you will see the console open, and your program will print the message you wrote. Congratulations! You have successfully created and executed your first Python program.

Step 5: Modify Your Program
To practice and learn even more, Rodrigo shows you how to modify your program to print multiple messages. The execution of Python programs is sequential, which means that they are executed line by line from top to bottom. You can add more print lines to print as many messages as you want.
