I am a creative. Professionally I was a graphic artist and designer in the days before computers. I developed a business around my sculptures from early 1980's through the early 2000's, mostly on Long Island and the Jersey Shore, although my pieces have gone far and wide. The tended to be rather silly, and I specialized in custom pieces that represented every animal I could think of doing whatever someone wanted them to do. That career was interrupted by a move to West Central Florida. I transitioned into he world of Montessori and worked with toddlers though 6 year old children, then into the public school system with pre-schoolers. I incorporated art projects into every aspect of the curriculum. It made learning FUN. Who doesn't like to write their name in shaving cream and make shape trains? Who doesn't like to perform a play based on the Three Little Pigs when you can make three huts of straw and sticks and bricks then blow it all down? I retired two years ago. I have always been an avid gardener and am currently experimenting with hydroponics although I do participate in a local Community Garden where I am slowly convincing the other gardeners to re-imagine the landscape and develop in into a botanical wonderland. I also work in fiber and crochet. I have recently become fascinated with watercolor and stumbled over Domestika. Time to play!
