Served my time as a typesetter with a conventional printer before leaving to attend college and train to become a graphic designer. Being involved in the industry from 1990 onwards I was fortuitous in being trained in both the 'hands on' typesetting process as well as the 'new' digital revolution... I therefore could appreciate the 5 seconds it took to rotate type digitally as opposed to the 15mins it took to do it by hand, slicing between the letters to enable the curve to form... and less cowgum, wax and spray mount can only be a good thing!!!
